Insulation rolls are removed by hand, double bagged, then carefully removed from the home. Loose-fill insulation is removed using a large vacuum specially designed for insulation removal. We take great care to ensure that the living space of your home is not exposed to contaminated insulation when removed from the attic or crawlspace. To assure this, we use plastic drop clothes in all work areas. Your safety is our greatest concern.
Insulation levels are specified by R-Value. R-Value is a measure of insulation’s ability to resist heat flow. The higher the R-Value, the better the thermal performance. The recommended level for most attics is R-30 minimum, or about 12 inches.
Adding needed insulation keeps interiors cooler in summer and warmer in winter. It will improve comfort levels, save energy, and reduce noise. Insulation pays for itself year after year.
Fiberglass insulation is by far the most common material used. It is inorganic, nontoxic, noncombustible, odor free and cannot absorb moisture. It is available in two types. Blanket (batt) and loose-fill (blown-in).
You may be curious why we, as a rodent proofing company, feel we should add insulation to the type of services we offer. Insulation is what we deal with on an ongoing basis. The rodents nest, leave debris and feces, and ruin the insulation in both crawl spaces and in attics. We carefully remove all the damaged insulation and debris. We can recommend insulation companies in the area to provide insulation install services.
